Despite the fact that blondes can sometimes be heard very unflattering remarks, blond beauties continue to win the hearts of men with their tenderness and touching helplessness. That is why many women, whom nature has not endowed with bright curls, are trying to change the situation by exposing their hair to various tests. The fastest, but not the safest way to brighten hair to the desired shade is to use chemical dyes. They give an almost instantaneous and fairly durable effect, but at the same time they severely damage the curls, depriving them of vitality, energy and natural brilliance.

However, there are other, more benign methods of changing hair color, which, although they are inferior to the use of industrial dyes in strength, but do not cause any harm to the health of the curls, are the so-called folk remedies. And one of such means is the usual kefir - a popular sour-milk drink, loved by many for its pleasant refreshing taste. With this incredibly useful product, you can not only give your hair a new shade, but also make it stronger, stronger and more docile. So, what are the advantages of kefir as a lightening agent for hair and does it have any disadvantages?

Pros and cons of lightening hair kefir

Kefir is a popular fermented milk product obtained from whole or skimmed cow milk by mixed fermentation (lactic acid and alcohol). This product has a unique composition that includes proteins, carbohydrates, fatty and organic acids, vitamins of group B (thiamine, riboflavin, pyridoxine and others), as well as tocopherol, retinol, choline and beta-carotene.

In addition, the composition of kefir includes several types of bacteria, various enzymes, trace elements (sodium, calcium, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron), sugar and ethyl alcohol. At the same time, this fermented milk drink has one interesting property - it washes away the pigment contained in the hair shaft, thereby making the curls lighter, regardless of whether they have a natural color or have been previously painted. In short, thanks to kefir you can not only gently lighten the hair, but also significantly improve the overall condition of the hair, namely:

  • restore damaged hair structure
  • make the curls more docile, soft and silky,
  • accelerate hair growth and prevent hair loss,
  • give volume to your hair
  • eliminate greasy shine
  • get rid of dandruff (due to the restoration of the microflora of the scalp).

Another undoubted advantage of kefir is its excellent compatibility with other components that have the ability to discolor hair pigment without compromising their health. These are honey, chamomile, cinnamon, rhubarb and other products that are very useful for curls. In addition, kefir rarely causes allergies when applied externally and is equally suitable for owners of oily, dry and normal hair. As for the shortcomings of this product as a lightening agent for curls, then only a weak action can be attributed to them (it is unlikely that it can be transformed from a brunette into a blonde, this method is more suitable for women with light brown and light brown hair). But after such experiments, the hair will not look lifeless, but, on the contrary, will acquire strength and gorgeous brilliance. However, in order to lighten the hair by 1–2 tones, one will have to perform more than one procedure (after the first application, the effect will not be noticeable).

How to lighten hair with kefir: recommendations

Kefir for clarification of curls can be used both in its pure form (it is better to take a home-made drink, but if there is no such possibility, the store will do), and in combination with other components. In the first case, you just need to distribute the required amount of product (from 100 to 200 ml, depending on the length of the curls), preheated in a water bath, on the strands. Then you need to wear a plastic shower cap and a warm scarf on your head and leave for a half to two hours. After the specified time it is necessary to wash the hair with warm water and shampoo. You can additionally rinse curls with water, acidified with lemon juice or vinegar (50 ml of acid per 1 liter of filtered water). For dry hair is better not to use vinegar solution, and a decoction of chamomile or rhubarb. Lightening procedures should be carried out 2-3 times a week until the desired result is achieved.

Another option for using kefir for lightening hair is multicomponent masks, in which this product serves as the basis, and additional ingredients act as synergists (that is, they enhance the effect of the base component). In order for lightening masks with kefir to be sufficiently effective, you need to follow certain rules regarding their preparation and use:

  • Before mixing kefir with other components, it is recommended to warm it up in a water bath. The product should be warm, but not hot.
  • The fat content of kefir used to lighten curls depends on the type of hair. For dry curls, a product with a rate of 3.2% is more suitable, for normal ones - 2.5%, and for hair prone to fat, the ideal option would be a 1% fermented milk drink.
  • For mixing kefir masks, it is most convenient to use a whisk so that the resulting mixture has a uniform consistency.
  • Apply the finished composition should be on dry or slightly moistened clean curls, distributing the mask along the entire length of the strands with a wide brush. The scalp should not be affected.
  • After applying the mask, it is recommended to warm the hair with a plastic cap and a warm shawl - this way you can enhance the effect of the acids that make up the kefir.
  • The duration of the lightening procedures using kefir depends on the original shade and the type of curls. The duration of a mask is usually indicated in the recipe.
  • Rinse the kefir masks with ordinary running water with shampoo (if vegetable oils are present in the mixture) or without it. In this case, you should try to remove the tool completely, since the dried kefir left on the hair turns into lumps, which are difficult to get rid of.
  • It is recommended to dry the curls after washing off the kefir mask without the help of a hair dryer (that is, naturally, preferably under the rays of the sun, since ultraviolet light enhances the action of acids).

As for the frequency of use of kefir-based brightening mixtures, it should be 2-3 times a week for oily hair and no more than 2 times for dry hair. If the curls are too dry (for example, as a result of dyeing or bleaching), they are recommended to be treated a little before lightening with the help of oil compresses or other means designed to restore the hair structure. Healthy curls can lighten kefir without prior preparation, using the product in pure form or as part of the masks, the recipes are presented below.

Classic mask of kefir for lightening hair

To prepare the presented mask you need only two components - water and kefir. To ½ cup sour-milk drink you need to add a tablespoon of water, mix everything up and apply the mixture on slightly damp hair. Means is aged on the hair for 2 hours (with insulation), then washed off with shampoo.

To obtain the effect on dark and hard hair will require at least 5-6 procedures.

Mask with cinnamon and kefir

In combination with such a clarifying agent, like cinnamon, kefir will work even more efficiently. To create this mask you will need the following components:

  • 2-3 tablespoons of cinnamon (in the presence of sensitive skin it is recommended to reduce the amount of the product),
  • ½ cup of kefir (the amount of the product can be changed depending on the length of the curls),
  • 1-2 tablespoons of water
  • a teaspoon of honey.

Next, you need to mix the cinnamon and water in a ceramic dish to obtain a homogeneous mass, then add to the mixture a fermented milk drink. Then add honey, it will make the resulting mass more dense. The tool is applied to dry hair, for 2-3 hours, of which 30-40 minutes should be spent with a heater on the head.

The effect of lightening depends entirely on the condition of the hair.

It is important to note that depending on the pigment, it does not always turn out to give a bright shade to the hair. However, after applying masks with kefir, as well as with other useful components, the hair will receive a sufficient amount of vitamins and essential substances. Thanks to kefir, even the most lifeless hair will gain shine, silkiness and smoothness.

The easiest option

It should be noted that the hair lightening is carried out through a variety of kefir masks. Among them there are surprisingly simple, and there are more difficult masks. The simplest mask is the application of kefir directly to the hair. Wherein:

  • strands must be dry
  • the head should be covered with polyethylene and on top with a towel.

The product is left on the head for at least 2 hours.

To enhance the effect, you can heat the kefir.

    Some useful tips

The use of kefir for lightening hair requires consideration of several rules:

    • First of all, the mask should not be applied more than once a week. Despite the benefits of the product in question, its excessive exposure may be harmful,
    • natural, sufficiently fatty kefir (without preservatives required) is used in its pure form, but in the mixture with other components, skimmed kefir should be used,
    • Be sure to pay attention to the freshness of the product, make sure that the yogurt is not overdue,
    • If your mask consists of only kefir, then do not be afraid to leave it on the strands all night. It will not cause any harm to the curls, but, on the contrary, will be quite useful. Here it is best to follow a simple rule, the essence of which is reduced to the long retention of kefir on the hair. The most optimal is the situation when the product stays on the strands overnight.

    Opinions of girls

Now we study the reviews of girls who, with the help of kefir, sought to achieve clarification. The most important thing that girls pay attention to is effectiveness. It should be understood that kefir does not change the color drastically. It is impossible to turn from a brunette in a moment into a blonde. You can only change the shade to a few tones, and even then not immediately.

This is how kefir is applied when you want to change the shade of hair. Girls are advised to try kefir: after all, he will not only lighten curls, but also strengthen them.

A little bit about the benefits of kefir mask

Talking about the benefits of this product for health hardly makes sense, because only the lazy have not heard of bifidobacteria, improved digestion, etc. But to use such a treat on the hair? This is something new. Is there even the slightest point, or is it better to pamper the digestive tract?

In fact, not new, but well forgotten old, because with this tool our grandmothers grandmothers cared for their hair, who had no idea about shampoos, conditioners and balms that our bathrooms are packed with today.

Kefir is an indispensable component of a great number of restoring and strengthening masks, since it acts in them as a kind of catalyst that enhances the effect of the other components. Kefir mask for lightening hair can be used on both natural and dyed strands, since the components of lactic acid do an excellent job with leaching of dark pigment. It is very effective for correcting an unsuccessful shade resulting from dyeing.

    Secrets of natural clarification

Of course, you should not hope for instant blonding after the first use, because only aggressive dyes can give such an effect.

However, it is quite possible to achieve visible results, especially considering all the subtleties of the natural clarification process:

    • The first secret is the right choice of product. It is desirable that this was a homemade, and also not the freshest drink, in which the concentration of lactic acid will reach its peak state. If you could not find one, you can get by with the store version with maximum fat content,
    • You can apply the mask 1-2 times a week, not more often,
    • The drink is used in a slightly heated form, the optimum temperature is the temperature of the human body,
    • The duration of exposure of the mask can be from an hour (if we lighten natural hair) to 10 (when you need to adjust the color of dyed), but not less
    • It is impossible to use hot water for washing the mask, because kefir tends to coagulate at high temperature, it will be best of all washed out with slightly warm water,
    • The use of shampoos or balms after such procedures is highly undesirable because they negate their effect. Strengthening it will help rinsing decoction of chamomile (1/2 cup of flowers + 2 cups of boiling water).

Knowing these secrets, you can achieve the maximum result from lightening hair with kefir.

    Recipe 1. Classic.

The most simple and budget, because we need only two ingredients: kefir and water. To a half cup of kefir, add about a tablespoon of water, stir, then apply to slightly damp hair. Withstand under insulation for 2 hours, then wash off.

Perfect for thin brown hair, from which dark pigment is washed out quickly enough, but on darker or tighter strands of effect you will have to wait, using a mask at least 5-6 times.

    Recipe 2. With cinnamon.

In a duet with another natural clarifier kefir will work much more intensively. For this mask we need:

    • Cinnamon - 2-3 tablespoons (for sensitive skin it is better to take less)
    • Kefir - about ½ cup (the amount varies depending on the length of the hair),
    • Water - 1-2 tablespoons,
    • Honey - 1 tsp.

The cooking process is quite simple: first, we mix the cinnamon with water in a glass or ceramic dish until a homogeneous mass, and then mix it with kefir. It is very important not to add the powder immediately, because it will be taken up in lumps, which will be difficult to break. At the final stage, we introduce liquid honey, which slightly thickens the mask. Apply to dried hair for 2-3 hours. with about 30-40 minutes walk with insulation, then remove it.

This method of clarification has different reviews, because depending on the structure of the hair, the result may appear after both the first application and after 5, but complaining about the inefficiency, as a rule, do not reach this stage.

    Recipe 3. Alcohol.

If it were not for the hair balm in its composition, he would have completely gone for the recipe of some delicacy, so fragrant and tasty ingredients are included in its composition. The more pleasant it will be applied. However, from words to action, write down the recipe:

    • Kefir - about a third of a glass (again, we look at the length of the hair),
    • Brandy - 2 tablespoons (if the scalp is sensitive - one, because there may be a strong burning sensation),
    • Hair balm - 1 tsp,
    • Protein - 1 piece (pre-whip until steep peaks),
    • Lemon - ½ pieces (juice).

All components are mixed and carefully applied to each strand. We warm the head with a polyethylene cap + towel. It is advisable to let the mask "work" all night, in the morning wash off with warm water. This is the result of this method of kefir lightening (before and after):

    Recipe 4. Neutralizing yellowness.

Such a problem faced by many girls conducting home experiments with blonde. The yellow tint on the colored strands is a sure sign of non-professional dyeing, however, it can be eliminated, and even practically painlessly:

    • Kefir - 1 cup (do not forget about the high fat content),
    • Cognac - 4 tsp.
    • Lemon - ½ pieces (juice).

Mix the ingredients and apply them to slightly damp hair. Keep under insulation throughout the night, then wash off. Such a composition should quickly neutralize the yellowness, making your hair look like small chickens. If it was not possible to completely eliminate the unpleasant tint, you can repeat the procedure in a week.

    Recipe 5. Cleaning red shade.

Once painted in red, we can see this shade literally after each coloring and bring it incredibly difficult. However, for these purposes it is also possible to use a lightening mask containing kefir., only have to be patient, because it is one of the sparing, but lengthy methods of breeding.

To do this, we need a glass of heated kefir and the soft part of any kind of black bread. We determine its quantity empirically, adding until such time as we get a thick mush. This mixture is applied for a couple of hours. It should be washed off with shampoo for deep cleansing.

    The benefits of clarification kefir

This variant of hair lightening has many advantages, among which are:

    • recharge hair with all the necessary elements that are part of kefir,
    • strengthening hair structure
    • giving the strands silkiness, elasticity and gloss,
    • the formation of a protective film that protects against aggressive environment,
    • possibility of use by pregnant women and nursing mothers, since only natural ingredients are present in kefir masks,
    • lightening any, even dyed hair.

Also, kefir can enhance the actions of other products, so feel free to use multi-component masks with this fermented milk miracle.

Masks and compositions with fermented milk product perfectly nourish the scalp, and vitaminizes the hair. It has a stunning effect when combined with other ingredients. After systematic use, you can forget that the final purpose of use was clarification. Just enjoy the perfect view of the curls.

What kefir is good for health is known to everyone: improves digestion and strengthens the immune system. Rich in vitamins, minerals and acids. They, in turn, are necessary for the construction of hairline cells. The acid in the composition will help to improve the oily hair type. Relatively gently lighten the dry type.

Rarely in which product can you find vitamins of group B, a large amount of calcium, magnesium and potassium - necessary for healthy hair growth.

Sometimes you need to wash the paint off the newly dyed hair. For example, when the shade turned out too dark or just wanted something new. There are special products for washing off the paint, but they damage the hair that has already been subjected to chemical attack. Kefir can be a real salvation. He gently washes away the caustic ingredients of the paint. If desired, after the procedures, you can contact the salon for a deeper clarification of professional means. And it is likely that after kefir procedures, salon lighting will work out the first time.

General recommendations for lightening hair kefir

Kefir can and will independently cope with clarification. But it is much more effective when paired with any component that is able to slightly lighten and heal the hair. For example, cinnamon, olive oil, yeast, honey.

The best option to use is natural homemade kefir or sour milk. But the quality store product is fine.

The best way to mask with yogurt suit blondes and women who tirelessly struggle with a yellow shade of hair.

With the systematic use of kefir can lighten the hair by 2 tones. He is especially good in tandem with honey.

It is recommended to owners of very dry hair before a course with kefir, to carry out procedures with oil masks. Otherwise, you can burn curls dairy products.

To speed up the process and achieve the best result, it is better to cover the head after applying the mixture with a plastic cap.

Lightening hair with kefir will suit women with oily scalp type. Masks help normalize sebum secretion. After applying the hair, it is recommended to rinse it with cool water.

Thermal method of lightening hair with kefir

The simplest and most accessible mask is a one-component composition. In addition to the fermented milk product, warm water, a warming cap and enthusiasm will not need anything.

What you need to do for thermal lightening hair kefir?

    • Heat the required amount of kefir in any way (on a water bath, in a microwave, in a stove, in a double boiler). The temperature should be such as not to burn the scalp, but only to heat it.

    • Distribute sour milk (by the way, it is more efficient to use home-made kefir) along the entire length of the hair with a comb, hands with a dyeing brush - it all depends on the preferences and density of the hair.

    • A warming cap can be constructed from a warm steamed towel. You can wear an old hat and wrap cellophane on top.

    • Keep the resulting structure on the head for 2-4 hours. Need to be careful. The drier the hair structure, the shorter the time of contact with the mask.

    • Wash off the composition from the head with running water and a gentle shampoo that does not contain any sulfates.

    • To add shine to rinse, rinse with additional 3 liters of water with a tablespoon of vinegar.

It is advisable to use this mask twice a week.

In this way, you can achieve a hair clarification of 1.5-2 tones. It does not matter whether they were painted before or not. With a systematic and prolonged repetition of the procedure, there is a clarification of 3 tones. In this case we are talking about the use of the composition within six months.

Brightening mask with kefir and lemon

Lemon juice is another brightening product. Acting together, the two components do an excellent job with the task. But dry hair can cause such a mixture. At 250 ml of yogurt you need to take 125 ml of lemon juice. To distribute mix on hair and to hold 40-60 minutes. To achieve a visible result, the masks must be repeated twice a week for one month.

Lightening hair with kefir is an affordable and effective method.

It is not suitable for everyone and requires regular use.

In the case of a weak result in giving a light shade or its complete absence, the hairstyle will not lose anything, but will only gain.

Kefir is an excellent product for nutrition and for ... hair recovery.

    Ways of clarification

Lighten hair with fermented milk products is simple. The first of the considered methods is the simplest. The composition of the solution includes:

    • kefir or ryazhenka,
    • hot water.

A small amount of ryazhenka (depending on the density of the hair) must be heated in any way possible. The heating temperature should be low.The resulting gruel must be distributed over the entire length, trying to do it evenly. A brush with a comb at the other end, often used to dye curls, will do. Make sure that the composition is distributed in a uniform layer, cover your head with a warm steamed towel. Wrap it up with cellophane or cling film. The design should be kept on the head for two to four hours, depending on the degree of desiccation of the curls. Rinse the solution with ordinary water and shampoo. It is recommended to use the mixture once a week. It will help to lighten up by 1-2 tones, with systematic use - by 3. To get a pronounced effect, you will have to wait six months - before the solution simply does not work with proper force, lightening by 2.5 tones.

Masks and compositions with fermented milk product perfectly nourish the scalp, and vitaminizes hair

The following recipe hair masks - kefir and honey. While yogurt brightens the mound, honey nourishes it with vitamins and prevents dryness. The mask will require 150 ml of kefir and 3 spoons of honey. What it will be, buckwheat or flower, it does not matter. The drier the shag, the fatter the kefir should be. After choosing the products, they should be mixed in a deep plate of any material until a homogeneous mass is obtained, which is better to distribute on the head with your hands, feeling the mixture is homogeneous. For impact, it must be left for an hour. Drying curls should be natural - set aside the hair dryer. Pay attention to the shine and softness of curls - the mixture ensures their appearance.

Another proven mask - ryazhenka paired with lemon. It can be clarified quickly and safely. The photos before and after are amazing - the composition brightens and nourishes the hair, thanks to which a second breath of a natural, clarified color opens up.

While kefir will lighten curls, honey will not let your hair dry out and nourish them with trace elements.

The only "but" - the solution is contraindicated for owners of dry and brittle hair. How to make a mixture? For 250 ml of kefir you need to take 100-130 ml of lemon juice (you can squeeze it yourself or with a special device). Mix to obtain a monochrome solution and apply on hair, combing them with a flat comb. The maximum uniform application of the composition ensures the result, so you should also take care of the absence of lumps, unfilled strands. Keep the dye for 60 minutes, then wash off with shampoo.

To achieve the result, it is necessary to apply the composition 2 times a week for one and a half months. Do not forget about the procedures for hair - various balms, special rinses designed to preserve color, and a properly selected shampoo will speed up the lightening, nourish the strands, providing a bright color and shine.
